Our Troop’s week at Mataguay Summer is quickly approaching! Assure your Scout’s place on the roster and avoid the rush of Webelos bridging into the Troop by signing up now! For only $320.00, your Scout is guaranteed a week of making life-long memories, Scouting sprit, fun and friendship, unique experiences, and merit badges, merit badges merit badges! I anticipate that both the Pathfinders and Track programs will be available this year so we need to submit our names early!

We are celebrating Scout Sunday during the 10:30 am Mass at St. John's Parish, our sponsoring organization. All scouts and their families are invited to attend Mass - you do not need to be Catholic. Father Brian welcomes one and all to Mass. Please plan to arrive at 10:15 am in your Class A uniforms and we will be sitting together. Scouts who are current Altar Servers are asked to serve at this Mass in their Scout Uniforms. Any other interested Scouts may serve as Readers for the Scripture Readings.

St. John Church sponsors our Troop and therefore is entitled to our SERVICE when they need it. Help St. John beautify their school grounds (weed a hill of flowers) this Sat, Jan 21 from 9am - 1pm.

Chippewas !

Get your calendars updated for 2012 ! We are off to another great year with a Pacific Coast District Camporee scheduled for May 18-20 ! Chippewa will have a OA Call-Out ceremony for this camporee following the troop OA elections in Feb-March time frame.

It's that time again, the first Court of Honor of 2012! All boys who have advanced ranks, or completed merit badges will be honored. Please mark your calendars for Monday, February 13, 2012. The Court of Honor will be held at the Encinitas Senior Center,(same place as the last COH). The Encinitas Senior Center is located at the corner of Encinitas Blvd, and Balour (right across from the Fire Station). The Court of Honor will begin at 7:00PM (so boys please be prompt!) and finish up by 8:30PM (or sooner).

Summer time is around the corner! Emerald Bay offers a summer camp experience second to none and everyone should experience it at least once. Anyone interested in attending Emerald Bay needs to pay the initial $100 (non-refundable) installment at the upcoming Troop meeting on January 2nd to the Scoutmaster.
