Inevitably, there ends up being an imbalance in work load with the parents of the troop. All we ask is that parents of scouts in the troop volunteer to support at least one event or task per year. Please contact the the Committee Chairperson for consideration.
Parent meetings are typically held monthly, and are designed to inform, solicit input, and match volunteers with events and tasks. The most important meeting of the year is typically held late spring, before the summer break, where 75% of the year is planned. Please plan to attend as many parent meetings as possible.
Scoutmaster meetings are typically held once a month, earlier on the same evening as the Parent Meeting. The scoutmaster runs this meeting. Attendees are the assistant scoutmasters and other parents interested in the operations of the troop.
The Troop Committee is made up of a core group of parents that handle the troop operations, boards of reviews, advancement records, charter records, new scout recruitment, service projects coordination, quartermaster, treasurer, activities, and webmaster.
