Welcome to Troop 776!

Troop 776 is located in Encinitas and meets at St. John the Evangelist Church on Encinitas Blvd. Our Scouts reside in the surrounding communities of Encinitas, Leucadia, Cardiff, Carlsbad, Olivenhain and San Marcos.

If you are looking for a troop to join, please visit us during any of our  regular troop meeting times or contact us for more information. Click on the Boy Scout Parent Handbook attachment (below) for an overview of our Troop. 

Our troop meets on Tuesday evenings. Here is our normal Tuesday night monthly meeting schedule:

1st Tuesday of the month: Regular Troop Meeting(7PM)
2nd Tuesday of the month: Regular Troop Meeting(7PM), Committee Meeting (7PM)
3rd Tuesday of the month: Regular Troop Meeting (7PM), Board of Review (BOR)(7PM)
4th Tuesday of the month: No Regular Troop Meeting but instead there is a Patrol Leader's Council Meeting (7PM) & Scoutmaster Meeting (6PM)

If there is a 5th Tuesday in a month, the troop does not meet that day.

Help Update our Records...

We need your help to make sure all your records updated

1) Medical Records on File (Annual Physicals Required; If your child is due, be sure to book now and avoid the rush. Scout & Summer Camp Attendance requires updated medical files and children with expired physicals are ineligible to attend). Please make sure medical plan info is also up to-date. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Merz

2) NEW & Improved On-line YPT Training- Completion of updated online Youth Protection Training (YPT)  is REQUIRED by September 2018 for ALL Adults participating in Scouting Events (regardless of last time you took YPT), More info at https://www.scouting.org/training/adult/

Upon completion, please make sure Mrs. Sylvester gets copy of training completion certificate for Troop records.

776 Dine Out Fundraiser at Panda Express at Encinitas Towne Centre

Panda Express at Encinitas Towne Centre is helpingTroop 776 and friends of 776 raise funds.

Please stop by this Thursday from lunch to dinner and bring the attached flyer for the fundraising event.

Beacon's Beach Clean Up Adopt-A-Beach - Friday April 27 from 4:30 to 6:00

Troop 776 has continiues keep the community clean at Beacon's for a community project.

Scouts, family and friends are all invited to help clean the beach. This is clean up #2.  After 3 clean-ups, Troop 776 can have a sign at Beacon's highlighting their efforts.

Rancho Coastal District Camporee 4/20-4/22

Get ready for District Camporee 4/20-/4/22 at Lake O'Neill Camp Pendleton

All troops of the Rancho Coastal District are invited. Their will be training, competitions and fun for all participants.This is a great event to share with your friends inTroop 776 and other local troops

More details will be provided by SM Szepesy at this week's meeting.

Advancement Campout May 4-6 in Julian

 Registration is now open for this year's Advancement Campout May 4-6th at Wiliiam Heise County Park, 4945 Heise Park Road, Julian, CA 92036

This great tent campout event has something for everyone! Newer Scouts can earn key requirements for their rank advancements and older scouts can develop key teaching and leadership skills for their advancements. We will have two campsites and checkin starts Friday at 2PM and check out is Sunday morning.

Please make sure you bring your permission form and that your medical form (Parts A & B) are on file with the troop.
