Welcome to Troop 776!

Troop 776 is located in Encinitas and meets at St. John the Evangelist Church on Encinitas Blvd. Our Scouts reside in the surrounding communities of Encinitas, Leucadia, Cardiff, Carlsbad, Olivenhain and San Marcos.

If you are looking for a troop to join, please visit us during any of our  regular troop meeting times or contact us for more information. Click on the Boy Scout Parent Handbook attachment (below) for an overview of our Troop. 

Our troop meets on Tuesday evenings. Here is our normal Tuesday night monthly meeting schedule:

1st Tuesday of the month: Regular Troop Meeting(7PM)
2nd Tuesday of the month: Regular Troop Meeting(7PM), Committee Meeting (7PM)
3rd Tuesday of the month: Regular Troop Meeting (7PM), Board of Review (BOR)(7PM)
4th Tuesday of the month: No Regular Troop Meeting but instead there is a Patrol Leader's Council Meeting (7PM) & Scoutmaster Meeting (6PM)

If there is a 5th Tuesday in a month, the troop does not meet that day.

Troop 776 Open House tonight - Feb 19

We have been actively promoting the tonight's open house.Invitations have been sent to Rancho Coastal cub scout packs and leaders in the Adventure  Guides.  Posters are up and you may have seen them around the area.

State of City Address March 26th Color Guard Needed

 State of Encinitas City Address will be on 3/26 at theEncinitas Community Center  6:30-? 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive

Practice will be included that night and Pizza will be provided for color guard. After the ceremony,Class A uniforms required.  Scouts will walk back as a group to St. John's for Scout Meeting.

Mark your calendars!!! It is time for our Next Court of Honor (2/26) to recognize achievements made during the first half of the school year.

Scout must submit signed and completed merit badge blue cards to Ms. Erickson by 2/12

If you are ready to advance in rank, please be sure your Cyber Chip is current, your leadership and rank requirements have been fulfilled, Scout Master Conference has occured prior to BOR. All the steps have to be signed and completed to advance. Please contact Mrs.Titcomb to schedule your 2/19 BOR

COH are family events so bring your parents and siblings. Remind your parents you need to be in your Class A Uniform and to bring their charged phones/cameras to take pictures.

Please bring dessert or drink to share after the ceremony.

Set-up is 6:30 PM. COH Starts promptly at 7 PM and  refreshments will be served after ceremony at 8PM..Location St. John's Parish Hall

Friends of Scouting will also make short presentation to attain pledges and handout incentives earned.

Scout Fair, Sat, April 6

Scout Fair is Sat, April 6 at El Capitan High School in Lakeside.

We are exploring a way to be involved as a troop. That said, all are welcome to attend (whether we host a booth or not. They will have MB opportunites there, a Chili Cook-off (free chili!) and many more exciting activities.

The Snow Sports Big Bear family day is Saturday, March 2.

See attached price sheet (pgs 2-3) and let Mrs. Sylvester know the items you want to purchase (lift tickets, rentals, lessons, etc.). One order sheet has to be turned in for our entire group so let Mrs. Sylvester know by Tue, Feb 12 so  she can get our group order in on time.
