Host Coffee and Donuts at St. John Church

Posted on Sep 30 2021 - 10:21pm

St John Church has a tradition of hosting coffee and donuts after the Sunday morning masses.  The new outdoor pavilion provides parishioners a place to gather and meet.  Various ministries will take turns each week setting up and hosting the coffee and donuts.  Our troop will host on the 5th Sundays of the month on the following dates:

Color Guard for State of the City - Oct 12 at The Alila Marea Resort (free dinner!)

Posted on Sep 28 2021 - 4:54pm

Our Troop has been conducting the color guard for the State of the City event the past several years.  It is a true honor, and provides great recognition for our troop and for scouting in general.  This year's event will be held on Tuesday Oct 12 at the new Alila Marea Beach Resort. Free dinner is included at a nearby eatery!

We need at least 4 scouts to volunteer, more than 4 is fine.  We also need 2 adult volunteers. We will determine where to meet to get to the resort in one vehicle.

Please sign up on the calendar event (Oct 12).

5pm: All arrive in one vehicle to set up flags and holders, and to rehearse.
5:30 - Dinner closeby
6:45pm - All arrive in one vehicle to perform the ceremony at 7pm (if dinner is close enough, all can walk to the resort).

Adults: We need one to drive and both to bring the flags, flag stands, help the boys rehearse, and to chaperone.
